Rev. Fr. Dr. Vahan Kouyoumdjian 

Rev. Fr. Dr. Vahan Kouyoumdjian was born into a family of faith in Beirut, Lebanon in 1961.  His grandfather, Der Mikael Kouyoumdjian and uncle, Der Nishan Kouyoumdjian were both priests serving in the Armenian Apostolic Church.  He is a graduate of Hovagimian-Manougian High School and Yerevan State Medical University, Yerevan, Armenia.


Rev. Fr. Dr. Vahan Kouyoumdjian moved to the United States in 1990 and On June 27, 1993 he was ordained as a Deacon at St. Illuminator's Armenian Apostolic Cathedral, NY, NY by His Eminence Archbishop Mesrob Ashjian, of blessed memory, and has since been serving the altar in the Armenian Church as a deacon, particularly at St. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church in Ridgefield, NJ, where he was ordained to the holy order of priesthood on February 8-9, 2019, by Archbishop Anoushavan Tanielian. 


Rev. Fr. Vahan is happily married to Yn. Maggie Tekeyan Kouyoumdjian (since 1995) and are blessed with three children, Aram, Anoosh and Nishan.
